Having transitioned the Pennsylvania ministry to Jeff Whitebread, effective January 24, 2012 Bob and his wife are praying and exploring the leading of the Lord in the development of a Capitol Commission in The First State!
Bob Lewis and his wife Jan presently live in Pottstown, PA and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008. They have five adult children, fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Bob joined Capitol Commission following years of ministry in both the local church context as senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Newtown Square, PA, and the para-church context with The Navigators and Prison Fellowship. Bob also spent some years managing a Distribution Center for National Fulfillment Services in Sharon Hill, PA.
Bob is a former enlisted Marine and USMC Reconnaissance Pilot.
Bob is a graduate of Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia and completed all his academic requirements for the DMin degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS).
Prior to joining Capitol Commission, Mark Earley, President of Prison Fellowship offered this observation:
Having served as a Virginia State Senator for ten years and as Attorney General of Virginia for four years, I am thrilled that Bob can now use his gifting in the legislatures of our states around the nation. As a nation we need it! I only wish when I was a Senator and Attorney General that he had been in this position.
