CAPITOL COMMISSION ILLINOIS
Welcome to Capitol Commission Illinois. Our ministry is in its fourth year of service, and we are thankful for this stewardship of serving our political leaders.
We have been teaching through the Gospel of John and James' Epistle with lawmakers, their staff and Supreme Court Justices. During session, a set of study notes is hand distributed to every office in the Capitol. One-on-one meetings with our leaders and their staff for prayer and counsel are significant opportunities. Providing the Invocation for the House and Senate opens other avenues for ministry as well.
Outside of the Statehouse, our desire is to encourage local churches to view the political arena as a mission field. The newly developed Illinois prayer blog and prayer calendar are meant to help in this way. Speaking in churches and regular meetings with church leaders are necessary as well.
Please pray for growth in our ministry along with the salvation of your political leaders. This may seem daunting at times, but as surely as the Lord spoke the world into existence, He is able to speak life into those who are without it. May He receive much glory in accomplishing the impossible in our Statehouse.
