Born in Peoria, Illinois, Shaun grew up at Bethany Baptist Church. At 13, God convicted his heart, and he read the Bible for himself wanting to know its veracity. Turning to Christ for salvation, Shaun began growing spiritually and spent many of his summers overseas. These experiences shaped his view of the world and instilled within him a heart for the lost.

After high school, Shaun attended Bradley University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed at Caterpillar as a design engineer for three years prior to attending The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles in 2004. Shaun graduated in 2007 with a Master of Divinity degree and shortly thereafter, started a ministry to reach those in the political arena with the hope of the gospel.

Shaun married Cristi in 2001; they have three children, Julia, Caleb and Claire. Living in Springfield, Illinois, they are actively serving at and sent out from Southern View Chapel.
