PAUL MEINSEN

State Director, Missouri

Paul is a native Missourian; born in Joplin and raised in Springfield. He is the oldest of four boys who grew up in a Christian home that taught the importance of honoring God and loving His people.

After graduating from Central High School in Springfield, he attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, finishing in December 1987 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. He soon accepted a call as a youth pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After almost three years, he took a similar position at the Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia, Kansas where he served for 12 years. FHCC was the place where Paul grew as a pastor, not just to young people but to people of all ages.

Following a short stint with another church in Oklahoma, Paul moved to California and attended The Master’s Seminary; graduating with his MDIV degree in December 2007. While studying at TMS, Paul served as the Associate Pastor of English Ministries of the San Gabriel Valley Alliance Church in Arcadia, CA.

It was at TMS that Paul was introduced to the important and mandated work of disciple-making among our government leaders. After a number of meetings, training, and much prayer and counsel, Paul and his wife, Joye, decided to continue down this path and start a ministry work of this kind in the capitol of the “Show-Me State”. The ministry in Jefferson City began upon completion of seminary studies in December 2007.

On December 23, 1988, Paul married Joye Sadler who hailed from the St. Louis area. They have four children--Jessica, Timothy, Benjamin and Jonathan. It has been a joy to the family to be settling in back in the heart of the Midwest serving the men and women of the Missouri State Capitol.
