For over 40 years, Dale Witherington has sought to live out and help fulfill the Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. He has been a pastor, church planter, strategic ministry consultant to over 20 denominational groups and business leaders.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dale committed his life to Christ just prior to his 16th birthday at the 1969 Billy Graham Crusade in Anaheim, California. Sensing a call to full time vocational Christian ministry, Dale entered Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in the fall of 1972 and graduated in the spring of 1976 with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies. Dale then attended Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul and graduated in the spring of 1980 with a Masters of Divinity degree, specializing in Church Ministries with a special interest in Church Leadership.
Dale’s unique and rather eclectic personal and professional background, as well as his personal passion for the Gospel and for America, makes him well suited to fill the role of State Director for Capitol Commission in his adopted state, Minnesota. Dale is also passionate about sports, music and, as an aspiring author; he has recently completed his first book manuscript dealing with four major obstacles facing the church of Jesus Christ in America today.
Dale and his wife, Sue, have been married for almost 36 years. They have four grown children and live in the Twin Cities metro area.
