Today you will receive a plethora of requests to give to your favorite charitable organization. It is a day that has become known as “#Giving Tuesday”, the Tuesday that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Knowing most of you who care about Capitol Commission would receive many requests, I was reluctant to add one more. But then as I read many I have received, I rethought my foolish hesitation and realized this is a good thing. Most of the requests I’ve received have come from ministries I respect and already support. So why would I not give you the same opportunity to consider Capitol Commission today?

We know the state of our nation’s culture, and of our leaders, matters to you. Capitol Commission exists because we believe the people of our great nation, and their well-being matter to God. Therefore, we promise to remain committed to our threefold purpose;

PRAYER for the leaders of our nation.

PRESENCE, as pastors in our State Capitols.

PROCLAMATION of the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the greatest and most significant gift you could ever give. This year in a number of state Capitols, elected officials and/or their staff, have received this gift. What an incredible privilege God has given you and me - offering this free gift.

Thank you for considering sharing with Capitol Commission today. Donate at our website. We’re thankful for your partnership in this significant ministry.

Our prayer for you today – Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Jim Young, President
Capitol Commission
