Arkansas News Update Feed

May 15, 2014

This is a news update designed to encourage you, and keep you informed with how you can partner, pray, and volunteer with us, in reaching political communities for Christ. Remain steadfast in prayer for this much needed ministry, so that we may, according to God's grace, advance this ministry within the political communities of Arkansas.

Praises

  • Praise God for the opportunity, honor, and privlege of providing the openning prayer for the National Day of Prayer, at the Arkansas State Capitol.
  • Praise God for the opportunity to provide MacArthur Study Bibles recently to both of our US Senators, and one of our US House of Representatives. Also praise God that one US Senator has sent us an encouraging note of thanks and appreciation for this gift. Praise God too that it has led to some follow-up meetings with staff members.
  • Praise God for providing an opportunity this Sunday to preach in the Sunday school and main service of a church in Nashville Arkansas.
  • Praise God for providing opportunities to meet with pastors from around the state to encourage them by providing copies of David Andersen's book, Christ's Kingdom Commission: The Strategic Importance Of Evangelism To Kings And All Who Are In Authority.
  • Praise God for an opportunity to lead a staff member to repentance. A great weight of discouragement has been lifted, and they are now trusting in God and His Word!
  • Praise God that next month we are expecting to receive and meet our 4th God-given child.

Requests

  • Pray that God will use the Bibles we gave to our US Legislators, to minister His grace and knowledge to their minds and hearts. Pray that God will encourage them to serve Him in every area of their life and public service.
  • Pray for God to bless follow-up meetings to US level staff members.
  • Pray for God to minister to me as I prepare to minister God's Word this weekend to His bride, the church in Nashville, Arkansas.
  • Pray for the pastors who have received David Andersen's book, that they will be passionate about leading their congregation in prayer for political leaders and equally passionate about reaching out to leaders with the gospel.
  • Pray for the staff member who recently repented, that God will help them grow in the grace and knowledge of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and pray for me as I continue to serve them and others. Pray that God would do a similar work in the hearts and minds of leaders throughout our nation and the world.
  • Pray for my wife and soon to be delivered daughter, that they will both be healthy and that all will go smoothly, and without complications. Pray also for our three boys as they learn how to love and care for their new sister :).
  • Pray for more volunteers to assist us in numerous ways, and exponentially increase the ministry impact. Especially pray for God to provide a women's chaplain.
  • Pray for our monthly support to increase, so that we can effectively reach more leaders and others within the Arkansas'capitol communities.

If you would like to assist financially with the advancement of this ministry, please visit our donate page at http://www.capitolcom.org/arkansas/donate every gift is tax-deductible, and will be put to good and immediate use.

As you may already know, this ministry is entirely dependant upon the gifts that we receive, I am simply a part of much larger team, nationally and here in Arkansas. I could not do what I do without God's spiritual and financial provisions provided through many like-minded ministry partners. All that to say is that today, you can make a huge difference. Also, if there is anyway I can praise God for what He is doing in your life, or pray or minister to you, please let me know.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, and genrous support!

May God strengthen you according to all of the riches that are in Christ Jesus the Lord!
