    February 3, 2014

Thank you for praying for this ministry to California's leaders. We're off and running in 2014! (I'm not sure if that rhymes or not?)

    • January 6 - Legislators returned to session and the next day I started back in to teaching three weekly Bible studies inside the Capitol for Senators, Assembly Members, other state leaders, staff, and lobbyists. So far, we have been discussing an overview of the Bible, with plans to soon begin studying verse-by-verse through a book of the Bible.
    • January 16 - We hosted our first ever Back-to-Session Reception in the Capitol. This was an encouraging time for those with faith or an interest in the ministry to start the year of with an upward focus. Here are photos of some friends who attended.

    • Today - I met with a friend in a key leadership role for pastoral guidance, stopped by the office of another who is going through a difficult personal challenge, and met with legislators and staff to begin planning this year’s California Prayer Breakfast.
    • Later this week - I am scheduled to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, thanks to a generous sponsor. I look forward to connecting with other faith and government leaders while there.

Your prayers, support, and partnership, are a continual help and encouragement to me in this work.

Your Missionary to the California's Leaders,

PS. If you watched Sunday's big game, I think you'll be interested in this interview with five Seattle Seahawks players, including star quarterback Russell Wilson, as they confidently explain that “Jesus is better than the Super Bowl!” Coming from these guys, I think that means a lot.
