SERVING OUTSIDE THE CAPITOL
Thank you again for your prayers and support as I serve the Lord in the California State Capitol! I continue to meet with State Senators, Assembly Members, Constitutional Officers, Staff, lobbyists, and other leaders - doing everything I know of to help them to know the Lord and follow His will more closely. This includes teaching four weekly in-depth expository Bible-studies inside the Capitol (currently three through the Gospel of Mark and another on Biblical Leadership), plus another evening study in the Capitol region. I also continue to meet with many influential leaders personally for pastoral counsel or prayer.
However, this is not all I do. In addition to my schedule at the Capitol, I also enjoy speaking and teaching at events and churches. Here are some that I've participated in over the past few months:
April 26 - Sermon on "Emotional Growth (Psalm 139) at Antelope Springs Church.
May 1 - Taught a class on "Real Success (Philippians 3)" at the Thrive Leadership Conference.
May 7 - Led in Prayer for government at the Northern California National Day of Prayer breakfast at William Jessup University
May 7 - Led in Prayer for government at the National Day of Prayer gathering at the CA State Capitol
May 24 - Taught (through a Chinese language translator!) at Capitol River of Life Christian Church.
June 13 - Spoke on "What Are We Living For" at the Pleasant Grove Community Church men's retreat.
In the coming weeks I'm looking forward to teaching Sunday morning sermons at Creekside Church in Rocklin (July 26), Cedar Grove Community Church in Livermore (Aug 16), and Pleasant Grove Community Church in Roseville (Aug 30).
There is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than teaching God's Word or sharing His good news. Best of all, according to Isaiah 55:11, He promises to always use His word in a powerful way. Thank you for your prayers and partnership that enable me to serve in this way.
