Maryland News Update Feed

October 28, 2014

The main prayer item for this month’s email update is the Election Eve Prayer Walk that we will host next Monday, November 3rd. Pastors and churches from all over Maryland have been contacted and even though we have no idea of the turnout we will have, there is still excitement that folks will be praying for the state and nation wherever they are. This is one of the primary thrusts in our ministry – to call believers to obey the command in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, and express spiritual concern for those in authority.

If you are a Marylander who loves the Lord, I hope you can join us. Come meet us at the Thurgood Marshall statue on Lawyers Mall in front of the capitol building anytime between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. For more details, including directions and parking information, go to

If you can’t make it, or live in another state, take some time Monday to pray for God to move with his purposes in our world. If you need suggestions for prayer (along with Scriptures that relate to them), please reply to this email and I’ll send them to you.

Once the election is over, there will be many new faces in the General Assembly when the next session starts in January. Please begin praying now for open doors as I start to make new contacts with these legislators and their staffers.

As always, thank you for remembering Capitol Commission Maryland as you pray!
