Maryland News Update Feed

April 30, 2012

This Thursday, May 3rd, is the National Day of Prayer. That day from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., a program will be held in front of the Capitol in Annapolis on Lawyer’s Mall. I would encourage you to come if you can to stand with other concerned citizens and lift up our country in prayer. If you live in another area, click here to see if there is an event near you.

I’m honored to participate in this program on Thursday, praying for the area of government. We will also distribute copies of our Prayer Calendar so those attending can have a tangible way to continue praying for their leaders through the rest of the year. Pray with me that all of the categories we pray for (military, business, education, etc.) will honor the Lord and be offered with thankful and humble hearts. Also pray for effectiveness of a gospel presentation at the end of the evening.

The legislative session ended in Maryland in April, but some unfinished business remains, including the state budget. That means a special session (or two) will be held this year, and I plan to be in the capitol for those. Also, I’m looking forward to starting our Staff Bible studies again in June.

Thank you for reading this update each month, and for your prayers and financial support. This work couldn’t happen without you!
