There are still a few weeks left in the 2019 Legislative Session in Maryland, and we have had a rewarding time ministering to those in the capitol community in Annapolis. Here are some highlights so far:
We’ve had the chance to meet many friends now that the new class of legislators and staffers have started this year. We always field a lot of questions about who we are and what we do when folks first learn about our ministry, so we’re glad for these first-time contacts.
Along with these new faces, we spend a good bit of time renewing and deepening existing friendships. It’s always great to see those we’ve missed for a few months and watch these relationships grow from year to year.
We finished our Bible study series on Lessons from the Life of Joseph and gave out Max Lucado’s book “You’ll Get Through This” to many of our contacts. I recommend this book to you – there’s so much to learn from Joseph’s example. This week, we’ll have our second study in our new series in the gospel of John.
I had the privilege of opening the Senate in prayer on February 28. Please be in prayer for Senate President Mike Miller, pictured below, who is fighting cancer. Also, here’s a picture of Tracy and me in the Senate lounge:
Thank you so much for praying for our work. Your support keeps us on the field and we’re grateful for each of you and your partnership in the gospel. If you have a minute, drop us a line so we’ll know how you are doing!
