April 29, 2014
In October of 2009, Capitol Commission had its beginning with State Ministers having a pastoral presence in 17 states. On April 15, 2014 the name Capitol Commission was officially registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In the state capitols where we have a presence, our name has become well recognized and honored.
We have learned that our name has such value that it is necessary to protect it from others using it illegally for their financial advantage. This registration will prevent that from happening again. Our logo will soon be identified with ®.
Please thank God with us as we marvel at God’s extravagant grace. We praise Him for our remarkable growth and expansion. Since our beginning we have added State Ministers to 7 additional states, including so far this year, one in Louisiana and one in Florida. That expands the ministry to 24 states.
God has also provided us a National Women’s Director. She has been serving our state ministry in Indiana and will now be helping develop State Women’s Ministers to serve in other states as well. There are more women holding elected office than at any time in history, and in most states more women serving in the executive branch than ever before.
When we consider the women working as staffers and Legislative Assistants, along with those working in security and the mail room; women make up a significant part of Capitol Commission’s mission field. Many of these women are being strengthened in their faith by attending Bible studies and other activities provided by our State Ministers. However, the opportunity for discipleship and encouragement will be enriched when we have a woman ministering to them.
If you are not presently partnering with Capitol Commission via sharing financially and in prayer, please consider joining us. Partners sustain and enable us in all that we have been called to do. Please rejoice with us as God grows and expands the influence of Capitol Commission, and pray right now with the Psalmist:
Psalms 85:6 - Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
