June 6th the world commemorated the 75th anniversary of D-Day. My own father was front-line World War II fighting the war in North Africa and then through the Apennines. He taught us every day to give honor to those who landed at those beaches in Normandy! We give honor and thanks!

It was the great Winston Churchill who compelled America to join the fight against the Anti-Christian, Hitler. Hitler sought to overtake the world with Naziism, which rejects Christ. "He [Winston Churchill] made frequent reference to 'Christian civilization' and the need to protect it."[1]  "Churchill declared, 'Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization.'"[2]

Over the past two months, I have visited legislative communities across America. It is my assessment the war against Christian civilization is still raging. In America, there is a growing myth that God and a Judeo-Christian worldview does not belong. "It is a slippery slope when God is sidelined and Christianity is marginalize; evil reigns."[3]  There is a forsaking of the very Judeo-Christian doctrine that gave us America. How different our nation is from others in its formation! What a slippery slope America is on! Indeed, it is this slippery slope leading our nation to the outcomes of godless thinking and action.

Jesus gave us tremendous hope with this promise – “Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!”[4]

Awareness Worcester Mass            Prayer for America         Sharing Gods Word in OK House

As I shared the ministry of Capitol Commission with church leaders in Worcester, Massachusetts, the hope of sowing God's Word into our State Legislative Capitols was given. They realized the gospel hope Capitol Commission brings. In the middle of the presentation, a pastor stood up with tears in his eyes. He called those attending to surround me and pray! They wept and prayed for America and asked for the Lord to advance this ministry to all of our Capitols including their own!!

God is using our State Ministries to proclaim the truth. He is giving them opportunity to teach God's Word powerfully. One of our State Ministers, pictured above, had opportunity to give messages from the Word of God to Representatives, as House Chaplain. Your prayers are opening those opportunities!

Recently, at a Memorial Day event an interested investor asked me several questions about this ministry. Then he stated, “If one State Minister’s teaching in his state changes just one vote in the direction of God’s counsel in America – this [Capitol Commission] is a worthwhile investment.-J.S.”

Thank you for helping Capitol Commission represent the presence of Jesus in our legislative communities. Thank you for helping us sow the Word of God into the hearts of our leaders. Thank you for giving us the resources to keep on fanning the flame of prayer for all of our leaders!

Please pray for all our leaders. Christians should never apologize for prayer! It is our commanded action to pray for all those in authority over us! We have a wonderful interactive tool to guide you to pray for your leaders, www.Pray1Tim2.org.

Pray, also, for Capitol Commission as summer is one of our busiest times. It takes us to legislative conferences, awareness meetings, preaching and planned gatherings to strengthen and encourage our faithful ministers. It will also include new State Minister training as our ministry expands into Arizona. Glory to God!

The opportunities are there and our resource need is too! Click Here to read specifics on Ministry highlights and summer need.

Thank YOU for helping us stay strong!

All Glory to God!
