    September 22, 2022

Almost two years ago, God gave me an insight that as a cyclist and missionary  I could use
the one to support the other. That gave rise to last year’s 1st annual “Bike Ride for Tennessee,”
a vision to ride my bike across the entire state of Tennessee. Last year was a 300 mile ride from
Memphis to the Capitol in Nashville. Year 3 is Knoxville to the state line in Bristol.
This 2nd annual ride is called Onward 2022 as we will ride from the Capitol through
Chattanooga, to Knoxville, over 250 miles. It will be September 26-29, and most days we will
be cycling over 70 miles! That’s a challenge to do back to back. I’m grateful to have Rev Brad Hood, the chaplain at the University of Tennessee Medical Center as a cycling partner this year!

I’m asking that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers for safety as we bike through city traffic, mountain roads and four lane highways.

It’s a lot different than when we directed
student bike trips during my youth ministry days. Extreme cycling is a way to express my
extreme commitment to reach and serve our Legislators, public servants and their staff in the
State of Tennessee and across the country.

Perhaps it goes without saying, but this is a strategic fundraiser for our ministry. Would you
please seriously consider supporting our Ride and thereby our mission of “Providing Gospel
hope and spiritual strength to leaders”? To do so you can give online at www.capitolcom.org/tennessee and click on “donate to this ministry”, or send it to my home office address at 1416 Tipton Station Road, Knoxville, TN 37920.  Make checks payable to: Capitol Commission with TN in the memo. All donations are tax deductible.

    With gratitude,

    Bill Geisel
