October 20, 2009
I wanted you to know of some recent changes in how I minister to you. This month I joined 17 of my other fellow ministry leaders in forming a new ministry organization, Capitol Commission. Though our name has changed, my outreach, vision and approach to ministry remains the same. My passion for ministering to legislators, however, has been renewed and strengthened.
While the change to Capitol Commission was precipitated by unanticipated leadership changes at ..., this is being done after much prayer, Godly advice and oversight from my home church and with a core leadership team that has advised me since I began my ministry.
This event has renewed both my vision and enthusiasm to serve those to whom God has called me. When God called me to minister to the capitol community in Virginia, He did so very clearly and that call continues to strongly motivate me to serve our leaders.
Please mark your calendar for November 2, 2009 and consider supporting the ministry and praying for our leaders at the Capitol Cookout and Prayer walk. This fundraising event will be from 5:00-7:30PM on the Capitol Square in Richmond with our featured speaker, Congressman Randy Forbes. Please register by October 26 and call the Virginia Assistant Director, Larry Mason at 804-784-3903.
The switch to Capitol Commission creates some interim bookkeeping challenges. If you have recently mailed support for us to ... please contact me to discuss. Any new gifts for our Virginia ministry should be made out to Capitol Commission and sent to Capitol Commission, P.O. Box 63118, Charlotte, NC 28263-3118 or you can donate online at www.capitolcom.org. My new E-mail address is email@example.com.
Eunjoo and I thank the Lord for you and appreciate your continued support in prayer and financial gifts during this transition. Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you for the sake of God’s kingdom.
Rejoicing in His grace,
