“How sweet is God’s providence to a Christian, when he can reflect upon it! He can look out into this world and say – ‘However great my troubles, they are not so great as my Father's power. However difficult may be my circumstances, yet all things around me are working together for good.’” – C.H. Spurgeon

God has a purpose and a plan for every legislator, elected official, lobbyist, and staffer serving in the West Virginia capitol. For the unbeliever it may be to hear the gospel through a capitol Bible study or be influenced for Christ by a Christian colleague. For the believer it may be to grow in Christlikeness through challenging circumstances and to advance the gospel through their Christian witness.

This is the message of this week’s Capitol Bible study from Philemon. God used difficult and challenging events in the lives of Paul, Onesimus, and Philemon to accomplish their good and His glory. You can download our Bible study here.

Please pray that God will use this study to point many to the higher plan and purpose God has for them and their service in the West Virginia capitol.
