“…If he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account”.
In Paul’s words to Philemon on behalf of the runaway slave Onesimus, we have a tremendous picture of what Christ did for us. He offered to erase our sin debt, a debt which we could never hope to repay, when He took our sin upon Himself as He suffered and died on the cross. The resurrection which we are celebrating this week proves that God accepted that payment. Now Christ’s righteousness can be charged to our account when we turn to Him in repentance and faith.
What a blessing to share this message of forgiveness of sin and righteousness in Christ at the capitol during this Easter week. You can download a copy of our latest Bible study here.
The session is heating up as we head into the final two weeks with long committee meetings and multiple floor sessions. We can be certain that many in the statehouse are not thinking much about all that Christ has done for them. Please pray during this Easter weekend that God will impact the hearts of those serving in the capitol with the message of new life that can be found in Christ.
