The redistribution of wealth is a controversial topic in both our federal and state capitols. This transfer of income, wealth, or property by a mechanism such as taxation, financial policies, welfare, or charity is a central debate over how our government and our nation should be run.
However, the Bible gives us the example of Jesus Christ and The Ultimate Redistribution of Wealth – something over which there is no debate and something for which we all can be thankful:
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9
In this verse we have a brief summary of the message of the gospel which will be the topic of this week’s study. (Download Here) We are now in the last two weeks of our 60-day regular session at the capitol. In these hectic days, with all the loud voices speaking out about so many issues, it is a joy to share this message with the legislators, elected officials, lobbyists, and staff serving in the statehouse.
- Pray for those working in the statehouse during these last days when hours can get long, issues can get hot, and tempers can get short. Pray for those who know Christ to demonstrate a good testimony throughout these challenging circumstances.
Thank you for your prayer and support of our ministry.
