Both our federal and state governments spend a great deal of resources providing food and other basic needs to those less fortunate in our society. There are many people who depend upon the government and other agencies to provide for them that which they cannot provide for themselves. The story of the Bible is how God provides for us as sinful people the greatest need which we cannot provide for ourselves – forgiveness of sin and salvation.
This is the message of this month’s interim Bible study at the West Virginia state capitol. Our leaders are so caught up in issues that, while very important, pale in comparison to the importance of eternal issues.
This month’s interim committee meetings will be held on June 25-27. Our Bible study will be held on Tuesday, June 26. Please pray as our study notes are delivered to every legislator both through mail and in person. You can download a copy of this month’s study here.
Indeed, our leaders must deal with many important issues. Please continue to pray for our ministry as we seek to make Jesus the issue with leaders in Charleston and around the state.
