This is the last week of the regular session. The state budget still looms as a major issue for our leaders to resolve. There are many other significant bills both the House and the Senate are trying to pass before the clock hits midnight on Saturday. Frustrations are high. Hours are long. And, as always, politics plays a large part in all that is going on.

With all the politics, budgets, and bills our leaders deal with during the session, we simply want to be a reminder to them to keep those things in perspective in light of eternity and their relationship with God. With this regular session starting a month later than usual, it is ending near Easter. This has given us an opportunity to emphasize the glorious truth of our need for a Savior and Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection.

Please pray this week's study, "Do You Have an Exit Strategy?" will challenge many at the statehouse to consider this eternal perspective.

Continue to pray for our leaders during these last challenging days of the regular session.
