Weekly Bible Studies in the West Virginia Capitol

Following the close of the regular session we have continued holding weekly Bible studies in the capitol for the elected officials and staff who serve full time in the statehouse and for the legislators and lobbyists who live and work in the Charleston area.

We have been going through a series titled “Songs of the Savior: Seeing Christ in the Psalms”. As we read and study the Psalms we find we are singing songs about Jesus; we are singing songs to Jesus; and, amazingly, we are singing songs with Jesus.

In this week’s study, “How My Adversaries Have Increased” from Psalm 3, we read of King David’s trials as he was betrayed by his own son and closest friends. In this we see Christ whose enemies increased and rose up against Him as He suffered and died for our sin. You can find all the studies from this series HERE.

    Upcoming Surgery

Please pray for us as I will be undergoing complete knee replacement surgery on June 11.

    • Pray that the surgery and rehab will go well.
    • Pray as we will have to take a break from our ministry at least for a time.
    • Pray as we may deal with some additional financial burdens as a result of the surgery and recuperation.

Thank you once again for your prayer and support of our ministry.
