    State Minister, West Virginia

    Ministry Leaders
Tim might seem an unlikely candidate to minister to political leaders in the Mountain State. He was involved in Christian camp and youth work for most of his ministry before God led him to seek to reach government leaders and elected officials for Christ.

Tim came to Christ at the age of 15 and attended Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, West Virginia where he majored in Bible and Christian Education. After graduation he served as director of the college’s wilderness camping program involving whitewater rafting, climbing and rappelling, and other adventure activities.

He has gone on to serve in two churches in West Virginia primarily working with youth. In between those ministries he spent time with the American Red Cross as a program specialist in both Disaster Services and Health & Safety and as chaplain at a homeless men’s shelter.

When first approached by a friend to consider a ministry to political leaders he discounted his own background, gifts, and abilities as adequate for such a ministry. However after further exploration he discovered the biblical basis for an outreach to leaders and the fact that these leaders are simply people who need the gospel like each and every one of us.

Tim has now spent over ten years seeking to minister to leaders in Charleston and throughout the state. His great desire is to enlist and equip others who will join him ministering to the elected officials in their communities so that every political leader in the state of West Virginia might be reached with the gospel and the Word of God.
